Lehvallée is one of the few producers in the world to control the entire production chain of cashmere

We know the origin and quality of our raw material. We spin, dye and weave the products ourselves, by hand, in our own atelier. We follow traditional methods, with respect to ancestral know-how because that is exactly what sets us apart and allows us to obtain this incomparable result by its purity, quality and authenticity.

Spinning

Delicate and meticulous, this operation requires a lot of technicality to transform cashmere fiber into a light, soft and robust thread at the same time. Traditionally, it is the women in the villages who has this knowledge and experience of spinning. Thus, our cashmere fibre goes to hundreds of women in remote villages who work meticulously, at their own pace, and give us a cashmere yarn, spun by hand. Their work is exceptional and we are proud of it!

Colors & Dyes

The fibre exists in three natural tones: white, beige and brown gray. Among our designs, some pieces are made from pure natural (non dyed) yarns. A subtle combination of original tones with traditional patterns is enough to enhance this natural and noble material.

While for coloured pieces, we use natural dyes or yarns dyed with natural pigments mainly extracted from local plants: walnut, carnations, lichen, rhubarb and others, more endemic and secret.

Weaving

All our collections are hand-woven on traditional looms. The finesse and texture depend on the dexterity of the weavers, which makes each piece almost unique. Their hands are our wealth and know-how, our pride.

Our products are made with love and careful attention by the expert hands of our artisans. We take almost obsessional care of the quality of our work !
